It even came with extra screws, etc. This is just the right size for our granddaughter (7 years old) to do her art, and anything else she decides to do.I got this table set for my twin girls. They are 20 months old and needed a somewhere to color, have snacks, play and do crafts. The size is perfect for them. They can pull out the chairs and have a seat on their own. I see them using this table and chairs for at least a couple more years yet.The construction is good and sturdy. The whole set is solid wood. The wood is a little soft which dents easily when banged too hard.....especially with a pot lid one the girls managed to get a hold of......so I am glad I went with the natural color instead of the espresso. Some of the finish has come off. Not flaking or cracking or anything, but I use painters tape or masking tape to hold down paper for my girls when they color and when I pull the tape up you can see specks where the finish is coming off. Very minute specks but over time has accumulated into quite a few.Easy to put together.Easy, Easy, Easy to clean. Washable crayon comes right off. Easy to wipe down.Overall, I am impressed with this set. Given it wasn't as expensive as other sets. I am happy with it and would definitely recommend to a friend.***** UPDATE:It's been a year since I got this set. So far has held up well. No loose screws or joints. No wobbling. Granted my girls don't treat their belongings roughly. The table surface does have some nicks and scratches but it's a kids table. I wipe the table down frequently and now have patches where the finish wore off. So I am really glad I opted for the natural finish vs the darker finish. I figure I'll give it another year or so if it becomes too bad I'll just sand it down and paint it. The finish on the chairs have held up quite nice....I wipe them down too but just doesn't get as much advise as the table top. After reading the reviews on the quality of the finish I decided to purchase the unfinished version. The box arrived and there was a huge hole on the side. That made me nervous but after opening it there didn't seem to be any damage to the wood. Pretty good job at packaging. So I gathered my tools: power drill with hex bit, 10mm socket wrench. I set the cluth on my drill to a low setting (8 of 18) and started assembling the chairs. The first thing I noticed was that the holes did not all line up. For the ones that lined up, the screws and bolts went in without a problem. On a few of the misaligned holes though, the head of the bolt would get caught on the edge of the outer hole and the force of the drill (even at a low clutch setting), caused the nut part of the nut/bolt combo to regress through the wood into the hole and crack the wood. Luckily for me, once I heard the cracking I immediately stopped drilling and saved the wood from completely breaking apart. After a couple of these incidents I ended up lowering the clutch setting even further (to 4) and then hand tightened the bolts after drilling. The reason for the nut/bolt issue on the chairs is that the wood is too soft. If this was made with a harder wood a nut would not be able to force its way through it. This is to be expected with a low priced item like this but if all the holes lined up properly I don't think this would be an issue. The table went together without any issues. The only assembly required is to attach the legs to the table and the hardware and method used for that looks pretty good. I will say that a 10mm socket will make that job much faster.Anyway, for the price, I'm satisfied with this table/chairs but I'm not banking on this "lasting a lifetime" like the other reviews have stated. Judging by the quality I'm predicting that the chairs will have issues over time (maybe 1-2 years) and will likely require some surgery or just be tossed in the trash. I anticipate the bolts regularly loosening up and requiring tightening as well. The table does seem to be built better and will likely last longer than the chairs...but we'll see.Taking away a star for the soft wood and another for the misaligned holes.Really pleased with this table and chairs set. So easy to put together. Pretty wood color. Exactly what I wanted for my granddaughter. She has already colored on it and it was so easy to clean. Highly recommend itYou’re not going to get a pretty natural wood table like the first photo, it’s going to be a burnt orange color and clash with your other natural wood furniture and toys. I would return, but I can’t be bothered to take it apart, repackage, and take to UPS. So, I’ll probably just paint it white or sell it. If you want natural wood tones, look elsewhere!KidKraft Wooden Farmhouse Table & 4 Chairs Set is not solid wood and for the price and picture would have thought that it was, it's also made of faux wood, laminate. I had expected and hoped for solid wood especially for it's price. The size is ok but maybe slightly smaller than I had hoped but it definitely would work for the younger age range of 3 I believe. I would have sent it back and exchanged it for a solid wood model but my husband had already put it together. If I could have given it a 2.5 I would have primarily because of the materials, again, had expected solid wood "KidKraft Wooden Farmhouse Table & 4 Chairs Set".Excellent as you would expect from kidkraftFake wood (cardboard) coated with plastic. Poor quality garbage made in China product that will just end up in a landfill within a year or two. Product description clearly states “Made of solid wood”, it is not. Returning immediately after opening box and seeing how poorly made it was. There are Made in Canada solid hardwood children's table/chair sets for not much more at Costco - will be ordering from there instead. This table set has withstood the wrath of my insanely hyper, impulsive, and rough kid for about a year now. That is a feat in and of itself! Our dining room set has not fared as well as this! There is a recommended weight limit, but both me and my husband have successfully plopped down on these chairs to hang out with the wee one to do crafts or have "picnics" together, etc. and they have held their own. Impressive! If you're looking for a SOLID investment table and chairs set for your kiddo, I'd highly recommend this one!Bought as a gift for my 3-year old, she LOVES it! The table and chairs themselves are exceptionally sturdy to the point that my husband and I sit on them without any creaking or worrying about anything breaking! Only giving 4 stars because there was some damage to the tabletop when unpacked, possibly looks like a bit of water damage on the varnish, doesn’t affect use, just a little disappointing....My 2 year old daughter loves this table and chair set. She enjoys that she can be independent and eat and do crafts at on the table. The chairs and table feel pretty sturdy, I’m not afraid to sit on the chair either. I accidentally ordered two sets by mistake. The first package I got was damaged (the chair seat was broken in half) but I called amazon, told them I ordered two by mistake and returned the broken one. No problem and free shipping back. They also put the money back on my card. So I’m happy it was easy to return
