I purchased these CC sleeves to protect my cards from wear. Typically, credit/debit cards will wear prematurely on the embossed surfaces and the magnetic stripe. If they are protected with a suitable 'envelope' they DO last longer and the constant issue of not being able to read the stripe is significantly reduced. These sleeves are perfect for this situation. These sleeves ARE Tyvek and subsequently wear extremely well. The free paper handouts passed out by the banks are basically worthless. Within days they fall apart or rip on the edges. Not so with these Tyvek sleeves.In the current climate of constant protection afforded by banks and credit unions, the advent of the 'chip card' has done away with a lot of the cards that utilize magnetic stripes. A definite improvement...yes. Still, a lot of cards rely on magnetic stripes. Because I have some of both kinds and I hate having to deal with the issues of 'non-readable' cards, I choose to protect my cards ... all of them ... with these sleeves. They are tough, slick, and easy to use. Combined with the reasonable price, these are a no-brainer.Highly recommended. Five stars for a quality product at a good price. Excellent value.
