They are 100% German carbon steel and after several dinners and uses they are still extremely sharp. They also have a full tang which is something that seemed important but once you get one of these in hand you can really tell that it makes a difference. They feel strong, we’ll balanced, and overall good when you use and hold them. The fit and finish of the blades along with the ash wood handles is stunning. These are so impressive that I asked Santa for the 6pc kitchen knife set and he delivered. Hand wash them and handle them with care and you will definitely be pleased.The actual product is pretty nice... but when it arrived it was pretty beat up and the silica packets had busted all over the knives.I was drawn to this knife for the wood handle design. After getting them I realized the size of the handle was a perfect size.Feels really good, nice in the hands. Takes slicing into a steak to a whole new level. Leaves your meat perfectly cut with a lovely mouth-feel.Luxuriously heavy and sharp blade, allowing for smooth slicing, resulting in finely cut meat.As advertised. Exceeds expectations.
